Sunflower U.P Federal Credit Union offers a wide range of loans to meet your needs. They include: Home Equity, New and Used Auto, Motorcycle, Boats, RV, Signature, Share/Certificate Secured, Christmas, and Refund Anticipation Loans.

Home Equity Lines of Credit: open-ended variable rate line of credit loan by which the borrower’s home is used as collateral.  Closing costs will range from $50 to $750.  These loans feature a minimum 5% APR and a maximum 18% APR.  The rate is based on the 26 week treasury rate plus a 4.5% margin.  The rate will adjust semi-annually on June 1st and December 1st.  The rate will not increase or decrease by more than .5% at each rate determination.

New Vehicle/ Boat/ Motorcycle: loan term is 60 months but may be extended. Interest rate starts at 5.0% and may be higher depending on credit score. We will loan 85% of the MSRP plus signature value.

Used Vehicle/ Boat/ Motorcycle: Collateral value is based on the average trade-in value from NADA Guide. The interest rate is based on the year of vehicle & credit score. Please see rate page or contact us for more information. Loan term is as follows:

  • 1-2 yrs old—54 months
  • 3-4 yrs old—48 months
  • 5-6 yrs old—36 months
  • 7-8 yrs old—24 months
  • 9 yrs & over—18 months

Signature: Our signature loans are a great way to pay for those new appliances, vacation, or personal expenses. These loans are unsecured and are for a term of 12 months and up to $4,000. Rates & terms vary depending on your credit score.

Shares Secured: Continue to earn dividends and enjoy a low loan rate at the same time!! Just borrow against your own shares and pay only 3% above the current share dividend rate. 

Certificate Secured: This loan is about the same as a shares secured loan except you may use a certificate to secure the loan. Interest rate is 3% above current certificate rate.

Christmas: Offered Nov.1- Christmas
Christmas can be an overwhelming time of the year so to help you enjoy the holiday, we offer this loan special.  2009 Christmas loan special is $1000 at 10%APR for 10 months.

Refund Anticipation Loan: This is another great service that we offer. We will loan you your tax refund less a small fee (approximately 1% of refund). Just call or stop in for more information.
